last post of 2011.
it’s 4 am in the morning here in malaysia now and i’m currently exhausted from my not so effective attempt in memorizing every single thing i’ve learned in introduction to manufacturing class this semester. i seriously needed a break and somehow i ended up on tumblr.
now i know it’s been quite a while since i’ve made a post, but i’ve been such a lazyass so preoccupied with the many activities in my life that i’ve forgotten to update my tumblr in these past few weeks.
so here are some updates:
- we celebrated my brother’s birthday at 12th residential college. due to lack of preparation, we ended up bashing him with soya, cincau, and pepsi (all bought from the vending machine hahaha). all i can say is that there was an unpleasant smell originating from his shirt that night lol.
- we also celebrated gesha’s birthday at 12th residential college. we surprised her with flour and a delicious chocolate cake from secret recipe. somehow, it ended up being a chocolate cake fight but overall it became one of the unforgettable times i’ve had here in malaysia.
- i went to batu cave, a malaysian wedding, and putrajaya all on the same day with the exchange students and the PMs. all of us had to climb 200+ steps to actually reach the top. it was pretty exhausting but the view from the top made the climb worth it. it was my first time attending a malaysian wedding and i find it quite similar to weddings in my country. the mosque at putrajaya was huge and kz took an amazing photo of all of us jumping in mid air. we ended the day with a game of bowling at midvalley :)
- i went to pitbull concert on dec 1st and it was AWESOME! we danced all night and had the time of our lives. lost my voice that day, but it was definitely worth it. after i came back from the pitbull concert, my awesome friends threw a birthday bash for me :) they threw flour at me (of course, the indonesian tradition) and a blueberry chocolate cake with cheese cream which tasted so good that i kept taking a bite of it every time i see it in my room. unfortunately, the cake went bad after 3-4 days because i didn’t keep it in a fridge.
- i went to perlis for a student exchange program held by UniMAP. i went there with the other PMs and had the opportunity of meeting other international students from different universities all over malaysia. i get to learn more about malaysian culture and interact with local people there, thus giving me the chance to practice my malay language (which is
seriously shittynot so good).
- last but not least, we celebrated tyas’s birthday at 12th residential college (where else? lol). this time, we threw flour AND egg at the birthday girl. so we all ended up being all white and smelled like crap hahaha.
- i finally went shopping in malaysia! i bought quite a lot of new clothes, some accessories, and one pair of VERY hot wedges that i was totally obsessed about hahaha.
…..so that’s basically it, i guess.
classes are finished and now everybody’s preparing for the final exams in january 2012. this week is pretty hectic for all the students of UM. i just hope i procrastinate less and be a little more productive for this week.

- Goat: Don’t you remember that after hari raya qurban is the Chinese new year?
